The explosion-proof TSM haulage winch for underground mines is used for pulling and shunting mine cars at pit-bottom stations; pulling and transporting hydraulic supports and heavy equipment in longwall faces; manoeuvring mine cars on level roadways; and hauling materials and equipment with sled transport systems on inclined and level roadways. It is a product of S&T research projects at various levels led by the Vinacomin - Institute of Energy and Mining Mechanical Engineering.

Features:
– Compact size, yet high pulling force (up to 17,000 N) at low speed (0.25 – 0.7 m/s), an outstanding advantage over winches of similar design currently used in Vietnamese underground mines, ensuring very safe and efficient transport of materials and equipment in roadways;
– Friction clutch for overload protection, increasing safety when hauling equipment in longwall faces: if the equipment snags on the support system or other equipment, the overload protection prevents incidents caused by the haulage;
– Rope guide rollers keep the rope path stable and extend the life of the rope and drum;
– Ratchet brake prevents the load from running back against the pulling direction.
The TSM winch avoids the technical faults of similar winches used in Vietnamese underground mines, ensuring stable operation and a longer continuous service life.
